5 gluten-free Christmas biscuit recipes

December 3, 2018 • In Gluten-free, Baking, Christmas

Christmas and biscuits go hand-in-hand, and we’ve got a selection of beautiful gluten free Christmas biscuits.

These can be enjoyed by everyone, and also make a lovely edible gift. Bake up a few batches over the festive period to wrap up for friends, or to offer to anyone who drops in. They’re also great blitzed up to use as the base of a gluten free cheesecake, or bashed up and mixed with melted chocolate for gluten free rocky road.

Biscotti is an Italian treat, perfect for dunking in espresso or dessert wine. These keep really well, so they’re the perfect gluten free Christmas biscuit for gifting to friends.

This gorgeously buttery citrus shortbread is just perfect with a cuppa! This recipe uses orange, lemon and lime for a really zingy citrussy hit.

AMARETTI BISCUITS

These gluten free Christmas biscuits use ground almonds instead of flour. They’re a classic Italian after-dinner treat, but they’re also delicious crumbled up and stirred through a chocolate mousse. So good!

GLUTEN FREE LEMON MILLET BISCUITS

These gluten free Christmas biscuits have a really great texture, thanks to the millet that gets super-crunchy when baked. If you’ve never used millet before, it works so well in baked goods – and it’s gluten free! These biscuits also use soya yoghurt and olive oil instead of butter, so they’re dairy free and vegan, too.

These chocolaty gluten free Christmas biscuits are dairy free as well – double win! Feel free to mix it up with this recipe, swapping in your favourite nuts if you’re not a fan of hazelnuts or pecans. These are oh-so-good with coffee, or with good vanilla ice cream.
