CHOCOLATE HOT CROSS BUNS

Cooked wheat, also called wheat berries or grains, comes in a jar or can and is available from delicatessens. The mixed peel, orange blossom water and creamy ricotta makes it a lovely fragrant treat to finish your feast.

A classic Easter treat, the combo of fruit and sweet marzipan is always a joy. A Simnel cake is traditionally topped with 11 marzipan balls, representing the 12 apostles (minus Judas), which is a perfect job to get the kids involved in.
