About the recipe
Most of us have a jar of jam knocking about, so I’ve put it to good use in this delicious, quick cocktail that will really kick off the weekend in style. I’ve used a berries and cherries jam here, but give it a go with the flavour you love the most.
Ingredients
1 lime
1 tablespoon jam, such as berries and cherries
25ml Cointreau
50ml quality blanco tequila
Top Tip
HELPFUL HACK:
If you roll the lime back and forth on the work surface a couple of times, you’ll get a lot more juice when you squeeze it.
Method
- Fill your glass with ice.
- Use a speed-peeler to slice off a long piece of the lime peel, then roll it up and drop into the glass.
- Cut the lime in half and squeeze both halves into a Boston shaker, jam jar or jug (you want about 25ml in total).
- Pour in the Cointreau and tequila, then add the jam and stir to loosen.
- Fill with ice, then shake hard for 30 seconds.
- Strain into your glass and enjoy!
