About the recipe

Here lies a dirty little secret that I do quite regularly at home. It’s an unbelievably simple way to turn an everyday store-cupboard ingredient into something even more useful and with even more flavour.

Recipe From

Ingredients

1 x 215g jar of jalapeños

1 bunch of mint leaves (30g)

1 tablespoon of runny honey

Method

I love using this salsa in my Punchy prawns recipe, but why not check out Simply Jamie for loads more ways to use it? Think cheese on toast, scrambled eggs or baked feta. So have a go, try it on some of your favourite things, create new ones, and enjoy!

  1. Simply tip the jalapeños, liquor and all, into a blender, pick in the mint leaves, discarding the stalks, add the honey and blitz until really smooth.
  2. Use as you will, pouring the rest back into the jar, where it will keep happily in the fridge for up to a week, ready to salsa up your meals.
